Dear Dr. Mints:

	Professors Suppes, Kreisel and I are all enthusiastic about
the possibility of your coming to Stanford.
We are quite certain that we can find the money for one or two years.
A permanent position might be possible, but that requires paperwork
that we couldn't start until it was definite that you could come
if you liked our offer.  Therefore, it would be better
for you to come as a one or two year visitor at first.

	Please give us as much notice as possible of when you can
come.  We might also be able to help with transportation expenses.
